This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply specialised knowledge and skills, together with experience in leadership and management, across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.
Individuals at this level use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters.
They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.

This course covers core leadership and management skill sets including leadership, business management essentials, budgeting and financial planning, employee performance management, facilitation of continuous improvement, and emotional intelligence.
Employers look for people who can lead others, develop effective business strategies, manage risks, and maintain networks. People who can connect with others, communicate clearly, and are well presented. We will help you to attain all those skills while studying with us.
The qualifications rules for this qualification specify the completion of 10 units comprising five 5 core units plus (5) elective units.
As a result of industry consultation, AAA has nominated the five 5 elective units. We have found the combination of these units provide candidates with the knowledge and skills suited to implementing supervision and managing teams whilst undertaking administrative roles that are part of the day-to-day running of a business.
Should the candidate wish to undertake an elective(s) different from those listed below, they must be referred to the CEO of AAA who will determine whether the candidate’s preferred electives are possible.

Please note it is not possible or practical for AAA to provide training and assessment for all of the elective units listed for the qualification.

This course will be delivered with 20 hours of face-to-face tuition per week. This is spread over 18 months; 6 terms of 10 weeks with 3 weeks of holidays after each term.
During this period, you can expect to allocate approximately 1200 hours to your studies (including all assessment activities).

At the time of your enrolment, you will be asked to complete a self-assessment of your existing skills and proficiency with the English language. This assessment is designed to ascertain your current learning requirements that helps us design a program best suited to you.
You will also be asked to provide your USI (Unique Student Identifier), which is a Government initiative that creates a secure, free, accessible lifetime online record of your recognised training. If you don’t have a USI go to the Government website https://www.usi.gov.au/about to find the information you need or talk to us.
AAA acknowledges that there are occasions when candidates may be experiencing personal issues that can interfere with their learning. AAA has a process in place to ensure trainers and assessors are conscious of any changes in the demeanour or performance of the student. (refer to Support Service Policy and Procedure documents).
AAA also creates the opportunity for the student to ‘come forward’ with their concerns or take information and seek out help from specialist agencies.
In the event the student is having issues and makes this known to AAA, we will at no cost seek out the appropriate help from various counsellors, social workers, and community services groups (including the police).
